Even though the fall semester is drawing to a close, the library
continues to hum with activity with preparation for exam time.
Here are some suggestions for the final weeks of the semester. The study rooms may be used by groups of students meeting for collaborative studying. Reserving them ahead of meeting times is recommended. If you are looking for individual study space, the lower level is quiet with carrels and soft seating away from the din of activity.
The spacious study tables on the second floor are open as well. Please keep the level of noise down outside the open library doors since the sound may carry to those students studying on the second floor.
As a reminder, print course reserve materials are shelved behind the desk. Ask the student library assistants for the book you need by the Instructor’s name, or course name and the title of the book. These print items may be checked out for 2 hours at a time and they may be renewed.
Electronic reserves are accessible 24/7 through the libraries catalog. To find the article you need to read, search for your assigned reading by Instructor or course number.
As the semester ends, please take this opportunity to return any library research materials borrowed. Place your borrowed materials on the book return cart at the front of the circulation desk. The library staff will check them back in. The library also has a book return receptacle located on the South Street side of the building. It is checked every day that the library is staffed for returned materials.
If you need to find other alternative means of returning your materials, please use the DickinsonLawLib@psu.edu email to request further assistance.
