The library has three contemporary collections of books: New Books, the Anti-Racist Collection, and the Browsing Collection. You can find all three collections in the first row of stacks (102) on the library’s main floor.
Books in the Anti-Racist Collection are identified by a florescent orange star. These include works on multidisciplinary subjects such as race and social justice. Examples of titles in this collection include:
- Everyday Bias: Identifying and Navigating Unconscious Judgments in Our Daily Lives;
- How We Fight for Our Lives: A Memoir; and
- Carry On: Reflections for a New Generation (by the late Congressman John Lewis).
Books in the Browsing Collection are marked with a pink star. This collection covers various topics, including advice for law students and leadership skills. Examples of Browsing Collection titles include:
You can check out items in the Anti-Racist and Browsing Collections for four weeks, as indicated in title entry in the library’s catalog.
New Books are items that the library has recently acquired. Currently, this collection includes works on Women in the Law, the Supreme Court, Cryptocurrency, and Trial Advocacy. The New Books Collection circulates for the routine semester-long lending period.
