Heather Feaga is a graduate student in the Biochemistry and Molecular Microbiology department. Her work focuses on alternatives to trans-translation that can rescue nonstop ribosomes. She is also studying how trans-translation can be inhibited in organisms like M. tuberculosis, and is determining the physiological effects of inhibition.
