- Well like I promised I will be discussing about Playa Bowls. For starters it was a very impressive arrival. You walk in and automatically see the various beachy decorations they have. There is music playing the background, and various fun looking seating areas. As soon as you walk in you cannot miss the giant blackboard with all the various flavors. Yes, I was very overwhelming. I repeat VERY overwhelming. But have no fear, do not let that stop you.
- As I stood there thinking about all my options, I was torn apart of their four different sections. I went into the location with the impression that is was just Acai Bowls but no there were 7 other kinds or bases called Pitaya, Coconut, Green, Chai, Banana, and Oatmeal. They were just the bases you could choose from since there were also plenty of toppings. For example, fruit, chocolate (Nutella), coconut flakes, honey, oatmeal, peanut butter, and some much more.
- I choose an Acai bowl that had strawberries, blueberries, oatmeal, and honey. I tasted so good I would recommend. Although know that it is a cold snack, so be prepared for the coldness in your mouth. One thing is that something was missing to me. I don’t know, the Acai base; which is a Brazilian fruit, to me lacked in something. I just can’t put my finger on it just yet. Don’t get me wrong it was very delicious with all the toppings. Overall it was a very good experience. For my one bowl it cost me $10.00 therefore it is on the pricier side. I still believe it is a good purchase overall. Trust me your money will be very well spent.
- Playa Bowls is located at 482 E Calder Way, State College, PA 16801. They are open from 8am-9:30pm, Monday through Friday. Also, 9am-9:30pm, Saturday and Sunday. The location is very convenient to college student because it is on the main line. If you are located anywhere near the HUB then it would only be a 10-minute walk, which isn’t a lot. Also, advice from my friend that went and order a banana bowl. He said, “Banana on banana is too much. If you’re going to get a banana bowl, ask for another topping than bananas. You don’t want a banana overload”. Fun fact I don’t really like bananas, but that statement sounds accurate to me. Thanks again, for reading next week I will be sadly giving a comparison review about to very different wing places and give you advice about where not to go.

I havent tried the playa bowls out here yet. There is one by my home and now I am tempted to go. You should try the bowls at East and maybe compare to see which one is better hehe. I also appreciate the tip to not get too much banana.
I would be careful about repeating the same words such as “overall”. But I liked your use of the pictures! I thought they were engaging and made me want to go to the restaurant. Im looking forward to next week’s blog!
I love your descriptions of the food and fun facts you are always able to use throughout your blog. Before this blog, I had no clue what Playa Bowls was and I felt you did a great job making it easy to understand. I also felt your images used were effective to supporting your post.
