Aside from being at Penn State, I had the opportunity to study abroad at the University of Wollongong, Australia from July 2017- November 2017. Being abroad has allowed me to engage in nutritional lifestyles from the other side of the world; seeing new diets, foods and food accessibility issues. I studied the impacts of everyday food choices made by Australians and got the opportunity to sit in on various seminars held by professors and professionals alike. This experience has helped me to gain a better understanding of how nutrition impacts the body; expanding my knowledge past the United States. I can now apply what I have learned over seas to my career in order to benefit others.
