- Can be done in your bed, a chair, or standing behind a chair.
- You need no props other than a small ball (or an orange or apple from your kitchen).
- The chair should be sturdy, without arms if possible.
- You’ll need to access ZOOM on your computer or phone and make sure you have a space in your home that is uncluttered, without a spongy carpet … wood or linoleum or flat carpet.
We will start from either seated or lying down and I will offer adaptations for either position.
1. Breathing (emphasizing inhale and exhale to gentle music)
2. Warmup in your chair or bed (Sun Salutation sitting or lying)
3. Foot-and ankle wakeup (Tap or soft shoe routine)
4. Ball play (using the ball/orange/apple) to explore the range of motion of the body
5. Salsa or tango (getting rhythmic) If you can stand, we will do so!
6. Cool down (Re-assembling the body from head to toe)
