Last week onĀ Bachelor in Paradise, the original girls were sent away to another resort with 5 new guys while 5 new girls joined the original men on the beach.
This week starts off with Rodney ending things with Lace because he found a stronger connection with Eliza. I feel like they both handle this situation the best they can, but it’s still devastating to see Lace so heartbroken. She also gives them the alarming news that the girls are meeting new guys too. This sends a lot of guys, especially Brandon, into a panic because they’re scared of losing the girls they really care for. The girls also start to freak out even more when host Jesse Palmer tells them what happened with Rodney and Lace because the same thing could happen to them.
Nonetheless, some people are becoming more open to the new options. Victoria started off not wanting to talk to any of the new men but is now becoming interested in exploring a connection with Alex because he “checks off everything on her list.” She ends up going on a date with him and realizes he could be good for but wants to wait to talk to Johnny before doing anything.
Back on the beach, Logan and Kate also decide that they want to explore things. In an awkward moment, Kate gets a date card and both Logan and Kate are forced to tell Sarah and Jacob respectively that they’ve found a better connection. The date ends up going really well, and they decide that they’re fully in for each other. I think they match each other’s energies, and this seems like a much healthier option for Logan than Shanae who has hypocritically been saying he better only be thinking of her even though she’s explored countless other options.
This situation only gets worse when the original girls finally return to the beach. Logan tells Shanae that he found a better connection with Kate, and him and Shanae end up getting into a fight. I think Logan does a good job of explaining how he feels and what happened, but Shanae is just embarrassed and angry so she doesn’t listen. Kate also tries to talk to Shanae, but I feel like this was a rude move on her part because all she does is try to pick fights with and insult Shanae which seems really immature.
Jacob and Jill also have a difficult reunion. Jill’s really happy to see him, but Jacob tells her that he found other connections that made him realize she isn’t his person. I can tell he feels bad, but I feel worse for Jill who decides to leave the beach.
Victoria and Johnny also have some things to work through. They’re both really excited to be reunited, but Johnny’s mood is quickly dampened by Victoria saying she might want to explore things with Alex. I think Victoria is worried about her and Johnny not being in the same stage of their lives, but Johnny doesn’t really get that because he just feels hurt that the girl he’s falling for is acting like he isn’t enough. This is a really difficult situation because I think that Victoria and Alex might want more similar things, but it’s hard because Johnny would end up getting hurt.
Luckily, there’s some happier moments to balance out the upsetting conversations. Genevieve and Aaron have an adorable reunion where they happily find out that they both didn’t pursue other connections. Also, Brittany and Tyler are excited to be in Paradise together especially now that Brittany and Andrew have decided to explore other relationships. Still, the cutest moment is when Brandon and Serene are thrilled to be reunited, and they say they love each other. They’ve been the strongest couple all the way through, and I will be really surprised if they don’t end up together.
Next week though, some of the other strongest couples like Rodney and Eliza and Genevieve and Aaron seem to hit some rough patches, so we’ll have to wait and see who else will make it to the end.

I am definitely not within the target audience for this blog, but I still found it pretty interesting. I have never watched the Bachelor and the relationship stuff isn’t exactly up my alley, but I liked reading the parts about the fights, since I didn’t know a show like this gets so heated. Your addition of the introductory paragraph at the beginning was key, since I had no real idea how the show is formatted. I also like how you explored several different relationships and also looked towards what the future beholds for the season. Our blogs are obviously about as different as possible, but they both provide a good view on a niche topic, and I can tell that you are quite passionate about it. Overall, good blog that utilizes effective transitional elements and strong explanations to convey the topic.
