For our Lady Lion team we have eight core values that we strive to demonstrate on a daily basis. Our coach gives us one of those core values to really focus on, along with the other ones, for the month. When I think about the word discipline, I immediately think about the military and how they operate. I believe the reason why our military is so powerful, feared, and great is because of the leader’s ability to be extremely discipline all day every day. When the leaders exemplify the necessary discipline then the soldiers will follow and that is how greatness is created. This relates to teams as well, and our women’s basketball team specifically, discipline is contagious and it’s important that everyone has it. If we continue to be a discipline team and family the sky is the limit for all of the things we can accomplish. Discipline is definitely a big key to success, and the Lady Lion basketball team will exemplify this important character trait.
