Last week, I broke down the menu to hopefully direct any future customers in the right direction. However, once you get to the right category for you, there are still plenty of options. Employees are encouraged to taste the smoothies when we begin working, so we can recommend what we genuinely like and not just say that “everything is good.”
Starting with the Fitness Blends, I have two recommendations: the Peanut Power Plus Chocolate and the Coffee High Protein. The fundamental ingredients of the Peanut Power Plus Chocolate are bananas, dates, all-natural peanut butter, whey protein powder, vanilla protein blend, cocoa, ice, and water, and I would compare the taste to that of a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. This is certainly one of the most popular Fitness Blends. Also, you can’t go wrong with the Coffee High Protein, which comes in a Vanilla or Almond Mocha. The cold-brew coffee that’s blended in gives this smoothie its’ signature taste.
In the Slim Blends, my go to is the Slim-N-Trim. The Slim-N-Trim. Before I started working at Smoothie King, I was a regular customer who only got the Slim-N-Trim Chocolate. I would get this smoothie before every sports game that I had. I came through so often that the manager referred to me as “Slim-N-Trim Chocolate.” The Slim-N-Trim Chocolate is made of bananas, three types of protein, cocoa, non-fat milk, ice, and water. These ingredients make this a very low-calorie smoothie which makes it attractive to many. My current favorite smoothie is the Slim-N-Trim Vanilla with cinnamon. The addition of the cinnamon makes this smoothie taste like a Pillsbury cinnamon roll. Most people don’t realize that cinnamon is on the menu, so this combination is almost like a secret surprise.
In the Wellness Blends section, I would recommend the Daily Warrior. This smoothie is a combination that many people are hesitant to try, but I promise that it’s worth a chance. This smoothie is a blend of bananas, blueberries, dates, spinach, peanut butter, and almonds. Believe it or not this smoothie tastes like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich! As an added perk, this smoothie always blends well and has a silky, smooth texture.
From the Take a Break Blends, some of the most popular are the Angel Food, Pineapple Surf, and Banana Boat. The Angel Food is a classic strawberry banana smoothie, so if you’re looking for something simple, this is the smoothie for you! The Pineapple Surf is a strawberry, kiwi, and pineapple smoothie. If you’re in the mood for something tropical, you’ll certainly enjoy this! The Banana Boat is almost like a banana milkshake as its base is bananas and and no sugar added vanilla frozen yogurt. This is very popular with added peanut butter and/or cocoa. A secret recipe is to add peanut butter and cinnamon, and your Banana Boat will actually taste like a snickerdoodle cookie.
If you ever go through a Smoothie King, keep these recommendations in mine, and I’m fairly confident you’ll be satisfied with your choice!
This blog left me craving a berry smoothie and will likely lead me to the line at Jamba juice. I loved drinking protein-packed green smoothies after games at soccer tournaments.
My favorite combination to drink is chocolate and banana, so I’m sure I would like the Peanut Power plus chocolate and the Slim-N-Trim Chocolate. I also don’t think I’ve ever had a smoothie with cinnamon, so that would be interesting.
The coffee high protein sounds especially appealing to me. So, I always try different foods with coffee as a flavor.
The first two smoothies would most likely be on my list! I’m obsessed with anything bananas, peanut butter, blueberries, and protein.
