With the holidays being right around the corner, this week is the opportune time to blog about how cereal can be a significant asset this holiday season!  From Christmas themed cereals, to cereal-based holiday treats, a holiday gift basket, or donating, there are many ways to utilize cereal in the coming weeks.

Kellogg’s is currently selling a Special Holiday Edition of Rice Krispies with Holiday Colors!  The box is red with a green bow around the top, making the cereal box look like a gift box! This design will make you feel like you are opening a present every single time!  Rather than plain white Rice Krispies pieces, this holiday edition is speckled with red and green pieces. These holiday pieces certainly stand out in the bowl and will definitely put you in the holiday spirit!

Baked goods are such a huge part of the holiday season, and there are many ways to put cereal to use in your holiday baking!  The Special Holiday Edition of Rice Krispies could be used in the standard recipe for Rice Krispies Treats to give this dessert a festive look!  To take it even further, you could use cookie cutters to cut these treats into holiday shapes such as candy canes, Christmas trees, stockings, and more!
