Escape from the Ivory Tower: Fall 2015 Monthly Multidisciplinary Seminar Series

The Fall 2015 Monthly Multidisciplinary Seminar Series was held during Fall 2015 semester with the goal of networking with professionals from different backgrounds, and finding collaboration opportunities. All KSEA members in Central PA Chapter were invited to the seminar series, regardless of their academic research background, and speakers had a presentation competition by presenting their research to the audience and receiving feedback from different points of view. This seminar series was hosted by KSEA Central PA Chapter and had a great success with three seminars from Physiology to Industrial Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering, collecting 32 current and 5 new members. This seminar series was a place to share a presenter’s research topic with wider audience and to help researchers get out of the ‘Ivory Tower’.
