About Me

Hi! My name is Grace Kulp.

I am a second year student studying Business Administration at Penn State Altoona. I decided to attend Penn State Altoona because it was cheap and close to my hometown. I was born and raised in the small town of Martinsburg, Pennsylvania along with my five siblings. My dad is a farmer and my mother selflessly homeschooled all her children. My siblings and I were instilled with Christian values from a very young age. Today, it is the focal point of my whole life and my relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important thing to me.

I was and still am actively involved in my church. I made many of my closest friends at church and I enjoy spending time with them. I also love to snowboard, jet ski, and spend time with my family. During my high school years, my favorite animal was a goat. I began breeding goats and I eventually sold them at a profit when I started college. The farm made available many opportunities to me that I would not have had otherwise.

Being raised on a farm gave me a strong work ethic and a desire to learn continuously. I learned from childhood that it is important to work efficiently and to the best of one’s ability. Not only does this glorify God but it also contributes to an individual’s success. One thing I have been successful with has been taking care of my father’s personal banking. I started doing his record-keeping when I was a sophomore in high school and it was through this opportunity that I discovered my love for office work. I thoroughly enjoy recording transactions, reconciling bank statements, making necessary calls, and other routine tasks that others may find mundane. Therefore, I decided that after high school I would further my education by going for an associate’s degree. I believe that God has given me the gift of organization and I plan on utilizing this gift by helping out on my family’s farm, working in the farm office upon graduation.
