This page is dedicated to helping people some helpful links to orient yourselves in the job market!
For engineering students:
American Institute for Chemical Engineers (AIChE)
AIChE is the national official professional organization for chemical engineers. You can subscribe to a newsletter to learn about interesting opportunities in many different fields. There is also a job board where companies post many entry level jobs.
For women engineers, both students and graduates, SWE provides a support network with weekly meetings and similar (but different) professional opportunities as AIChE. There are also many leadership and personal development seminars.
eCareer is for Penn State engineering students, and allows you to upload a resume for recruiters to see. You can also apply to individual jobs, but only ones that you’re qualified for, so keep the grades up! You can also schedule on campus interviews through here.
AIChE’s Knovel
Signing up for a free AIChE national membership gives you access to hundreds of engineering and science textbooks, so you don’t have to struggle to buy them all. There are also many supplemental books to satisfy any knowledge craving that you may have.
Science Daily
Science Daily aggregates news stories in all fields of science and engineering, and can be customized to your personal interests. It can be a great way to discover what interests you and keep up to date in your field.
