Current Projects

Although we share the common conceptual pursuit of better understanding grammar in bi- and multilingual populations across the lifespan and its interaction with cognitive and sociological factors, members and sub-groups in our lab enjoy diverse empirical interests. Empirically, members of our group research heritage varieties of French, German, and Spanish, as well as other language communities.

Our collective and individual research projects integrate cognitive, functional, and theoretical approaches. Another commonality shared among researchers in our group is emphasis on field research within the communities whose grammars we  investigate. In summary, we seek to extend theoretical and laboratory research directly into the field and feel that our research provides invaluable insights into the grammar of bi- and multilingual speakers.
