Resources

In our lab group we use various software programs that aid us in codifying natural data, searching and analyzing corpus data, and in conducting controlled experiments. For the purpose of codifying data, we use ELAN, and to aid our efforts in the analysis and searching of corpora, we commonly use xrenner and GUM. For those of us interested in phonetic and phonological aspects of language contact, we use Praat. We often use programs such as PsychoPy, Pebl, and OpenSesame to conduct experimental field work. We have recently been exploring the option of using ACT-R in our research on language contact and attrition.
