The Fruit of Feminism: A Feminist Reading of Shel Silverstein’s The Giving Tree
In this scholarly article, I analyze the underlying anti-feminist connotations of what takes place in Shel Silverstein’s The Giving Tree. I had composed this piece in my English 200 class at Penn State Altoona and, upon submitting it to a board, received the Liszka Award for English in the Spring of 2019.
