Nature photos and art I’ve done are found on my Instagram. Here are some samples from my page.
A Piece of Heaven
This picture happens to be one of my favorites, and it the crowning piece of others that I have taken that are similar, which consists of a shadow against the sky. What makes this piece even better are the sunbeams spreading out from behind the clouds.
Flowers Kiss the Sky
Normally, with flower pictures, I feature a single flower with a green, grassy background. With this particular photo, I decided to do a group shot along with the bright, blue sky. Both colors of pink and blue compliment each other—a poetic kiss.
Lily’s Paradise
As I was adventuring around the Penn State arboretum, I was inspired multiple times by the beauty of nature. Specifically in this photo, I loved the calmness of the water but also the one blossom among the lily pads. The “zen” feel of tiny ponds will always leave me breathless and in awe of the little paradise.
A Charcoal Portrait of Alexander the Great
In an ancient Greece class I had in college, I was told the history of Alexander the Great, as well as all of his legends and conquests. He earned the name “two horned one” from the various people he came in contact with, though his horns are absent from this recreation of a bust. As far as how I went about the completion of the piece, I used charcoal on a mixed paper medium.
A Pencil Sketch of the Greek god Zeus
Another piece I did for my ancient Greece class is a recreation of a bust of Zeus. It should be noted that the king of the gods is not so easily recreated, even in clay, for the commander of thunder had brought constant fear and devotion from the ancient Greeks. This piece was completed using a HB and H graphite pencil on a mixed paper medium.
