I know that LionPATH training is a concern for a lot of you so I thought I would post this note so give you some information.
The training strategy the project is employing is what we call “just in time training”. Because we are releasing functionality in phases that mirror the student life cycle (i.e. admission, course catalog, schedule of classes, registration, billing, financial aid, records, grades, graduation, transcripts), our training, thus far, has been to provide training to the individuals performing those particular functions several weeks prior to and following the release date.
We are identifying people for training by first looking at what they currently have access to in ISIS and then asking college Area Security Representatives (ASRs) to review the list to make sure access is still appropriate for those individuals.
We are inviting staff with primary responsibility for particular function to train first and then will provide additional training for “back-ups” after the initial group has been trained. While I understand that everyone wants training as soon as possible, the folks actually doing the jobs need to be the priority in our training schedule.
I will be posting more information about specific training sessions closer to the date of each training.
Best wishes,
