In last week’s Tech Tip , I discussed how to use the new Activity Stream in UCS as a quick and easy filter. But what if you start getting email in the new Activity Stream folder that you want to keep like important library announcements or alerts?

First, simply select the message in the Activity Stream folder and select Move:

Select Inbox to move the message and hit OK.

An Activity Stream Exceptions window will then appear.

This exceptions window can be used to allow future instances of the email (in this case the Penn State Newswire) to always stay in your inbox instead of being moved to the Activity Stream folder. Choose which properties to use, then click Save.

Do this for any message you don’t want routed to the Activity Stream folder.
