Inside Access training bulletin revised
By Peg M. Tromm, chair, Circulation-Reserves Expert Team
Access Services Training Bulletin 03 “Processing Missing Items” has been updated to better reflect the day to day procedures in marking a library item missing.
There are times when staff cannot locate an item on the shelf. When it is determined that an item is missing, this training bulletin will guide staff through the steps of how to mark items missing without holds, with holds, and with holds on non-holdable copies.
Marking the item missing will not only display the true status in Workflows, but will also create a procedure to continue the searching process.
Training Bulletin 03 can be found at: https://www.libraries.psu.edu/content/dam/psul/up/access/intranet/bulletins/trainingbulletin03.pdf
