So Many Places to See!

Hi! For those of you who are new to my blog or unaware of who I am, my name is Sandra and I am from Downingtown, PA. That is about 40 minutes from Philly and 2 to 3 hours from Penn State. I am planning to major in Architectural Engineering, which is also why I absolutely love to travel, mainly because I am so fascinated by unique buildings and architectural styles! I have been so fortunate to have been able to travel to a multitude of amazing sites! Last semester I wrote about my trips to other states and out of the country! If you’re interested, you can refer to my previous posts to find my opinions on London, Paris, Prague, Rome, Florence, and more!

However, I am currently limited in reviewing more places that I have experienced. I have decided to change the topic of my blog to a travel bucket list! I have created a list of seven cities, states, or countries I want to travel to. In each of my next posts, I am going to name the new place that I have a desire to visit, including tourist sites I fantasize seeing, food I want to try, and things that I am eager to do! Maybe it will inspire you to travel more and open your eyes to new places as well! I hope my blog is as enjoyable for you to read as much as it is for me to write!

Here is some insight to what you’ll see in the next few months. I’m not going into too much detail right now, simply because my following posts will go into greater details of each place, but I wanted to share some of my motivations towards each of them.

I am a huge Harry Potter fan and there are so many Harry Potter themed sites and shops in Edinburgh, Scotland, so of course it’s on my travel bucket list! Not only because of Harry Potter, but Edinburgh itself is a stunning city of medieval or gothic style architecture, which I find really comforting and beautiful.

Hawaii

An Overview of O'ahu: Best Places to See and Top 5 Things to Do

During my winter break, sitting in my bed almost the entire day, I occupied myself by watching travel videos and vlogs of people in Hawaii. First of all, who wouldn’t want to go to Hawaii? Maybe some people wouldn’t, but I would definitely jump at the chance to go. Not only do they have beautiful beaches, but there are so many exciting activities while enjoying a gorgeous view. One thing especially interesting are volcano tours through Hawaii’s Volcano National Park!

Switzerland & Austria

Weekend Travel Guide to Vienna, Austria - Love Eat Travel

I took German in high school, and it was definitely an interesting class learning a different culture. One of Switzerland and Austria’s primary language is German, which is why decided to mention that. Also while taking the class, there was a big trip to Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, but unfortunately, I was unable to go, and therefore, have since decided to put it on my travel bucket list.

Morcote, Switzerland

Tokyo

4-Day Tokyo, Japan, Travel Guide: Where to Go, Stay, and Eat

I’d be lying if I said I did not want to go to Japan just for the sushi. While Japanese cuisine is one of my favorites, the city of Tokyo, and just Japan in general, has such an interesting culture that I would love to experience at least once. My mom lived in Japan for a year and constantly tells me stories that have only fueled my desire to go more.

Budapest

Why Budapest Is The 'Go To' City For Entrepreneurs

Not only does the city look magnificent and blends different types of architecture, but the city is also known for its delicious foods. The city is also rich in history as it lies right along the Danube.

Amsterdam

Things to do in Amsterdam: Museums, tours, and attractions | musement

Amsterdam presents such charm through its uniquely artistic architecture, canals, and history! I’m sure when some of you hear Amsterdam, you relate it with Anne Frank. Her house is a walking museum and a top tourist attraction, further establishing a part of the city’s fascinating history.

Tell me what places you’re excited to learn more about, or what places are on your travel bucket list!

  1. Hi Sandra! I loved hearing about your bucket list as I love traveling myself! I even had a very similar trip with my high school planned last summer to Italy, Germany, and Switzerland-which was canceled obviously as well. I think this blog is going to be super engaging especially if you plan to include similar images and like you said the activities and food for each destination. I am curious though, if because you mentioned architecture, you will identify features of buildings or landmarks for each place- even the history maybe. I think if you are passionate about architecture it would be really easy to write about and could make your blog stand out more.
