Megan Nuggihalli

President

Megan Nuggihalli is a junior Finance and Philosophy major in the Smeal College of Business and the College of the Liberal Arts from West Chester, PA. She currently serves as the President of the Nittany Lion Fund after previously serving as the Lead Analyst of Financials and Director of PSIA. During this past summer, Megan interned at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Equity Capital Markets Division and will be interning at Perella Weinberg Partners in the Advisory Division this summer. In her free time, Megan enjoys fashion photography and spending time with friends. She says that the Nittany Lion Fund has been instrumental in developing strong analytical abilities and valuable communication skills.

 

Spencer Spellman

Chief Investment Officer

Spencer Spellman is a junior Finance major in the Smeal College of Business from Basking Ridge, NJ. He currently serves as the Chief Investment Officer in the Nittany Lion Fund after previously serving as the Associate Analyst of Real Estate. During this past summer, Spencer interned with the Nittany Lion Fund in Real Estate and will be interning at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Investment Banking Division this summer. In his free time, Spencer enjoys sous-vide cooking, pottery, and skiing. He says that the Nittany Lion Fund has helped him refine his attention to detail and taught him strong time management skills.

 

Rashmi Naik

Vice President of Outreach

Rashmi Naik is a junior Finance major in the Smeal College of Business from Princeton, NJ. She currently serves as the Vice President of Outreach in the Nittany Lion Fund after previously serving as the Lead Analyst of Consumer Staples. During this past summer, Rashmi interned with the Nittany Lion Fund in Consumer Staples and will be interning at Citi in the Investment Banking Division this summer. In her free time, Rashmi enjoys oil painting, running, and traveling. She says that the Nittany Lion Fund has taught her strong time management skills and self-discipline.

 

Nicole Chen

Vice President of Development

Nicole Chen is a junior Finance major in the Smeal College of Business from Marlboro, NJ. She currently serves as the Vice President of Development in the Nittany Lion Fund after previously serving as the Lead Analyst of Real Estate and Director of NLF Education. During this past summer, Nicole interned with UBS in the investment banking division and will be interning at Guggenheim Partners in the Investment Banking Division this upcoming summer. In her free time, Nicole enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and watching NBA basketball. She says that the Nittany Lion Fund has taught her the importance of strong work ethic and commitment when given huge responsibilities.

Austin Liao

Vice President of Operations

Austin Liao is a junior Finance major in the Smeal College of Business from Chester Springs, PA. He currently serves as the Vice President of Operations in the Nittany Lion Fund after previously serving as the Lead Analyst of Healthcare and Director of Risk. During this past summer, Austin interned at Black Eagle Advisors and will be interning at Ducera Partners in the Investment Banking Division this summer. In his free time, Austin enjoys reading, playing board games, and going to the gym. He says that the Nittany Lion Fund has helped him develop time management skills and understand personal accountability.

 

Grant Saunders

Vice President of Recruitment

Grant Saunders is a junior Finance major in the Smeal College of Business from North Huntingdon, PA. He currently serves as the Vice President of Recruitment in the Nittany Lion Fund after previously serving as the Lead Analyst of Energy. During this past summer, Grant interned at Thermo Fisher Scientific in the Corporate Finance Division and will be interning at Deutsche Bank in the Investment Banking Division this summer. In his free time, Grant enjoys training Bonsai trees, swimming, and playing volleyball. He says that the Nittany Lion Fund has taught him the importance of combining passion, motivation, and perseverance in all aspects of his life.

Collin Stevenson

Head Trader

Collin Stevenson is a sophomore Finance major in the Smeal College of Business from Hollidaysburg, PA. He currently serves as an Associate Analyst of the Consumer Discretionary Sector in the Nittany Lion Fund. During this past summer, Collin interned with the Nittany Lion Fund in the Utilities Sector, and after spending one semester in the Nittany Lion Fund, he has developed an interest in sales and trading. In his free time, Collin enjoys real estate reconstruction, lifting weights, and playing baseball. He says that the Nittany Lion Fund has taught him the importance of being efficient and how to succeed under pressure.

Mason Thayer

Director of Portfolio Analytics

Mason Thayer is a sophomore Finance and French major in the Smeal College of Business and the College of Liberal Arts from Erie, PA. He serves as a Senior Associate Analyst of Information Technology in the Nittany Lion Fund. After spending two semesters in the Penn State Investment Association, he has developed an interest in investment banking. In his free time, Mason enjoys snowboarding, watching the Premier League, and documentaries. He says that the Nittany Lion Fund has taught him critical thinking skills and helped him develop professionally.

Maria Howe

Co-Director of Portfolio Analytics

Maria Howe is a sophomore Finance and Economics major in the Smeal College of Business and the College of Liberal Arts from Lancaster, PA. She serves as an Associate Analyst of Financials in the Nittany Lion Fund. After spending one semester in the Penn State Investment Association, she has developed an interest in investment banking. In her free time, Maria enjoys cooking, reading, and doing yoga. She says that the Nittany Lion Fund has challenged her analytical abilities and furthered her technical skills.

Ryan Castoral

Co-Director of Portfolio Analytics

Ryan Castoral is a freshman Finance major in the Smeal College of Business from Lawrenceville, NJ. He serves as an Associate Analyst of Consumer Staples in the Nittany Lion Fund. After spending one semester in the Penn State Investment Association, he has developed an interest in investment banking, sales and trading, and private equity. In his free time, Ryan enjoys baseball, golfing, piano, and street hockey. He says that the Nittany Lion Fund has instilled personal accountability and the drive to continue to learn and advance as a person.

Ron Sulla

Director of Risk

Ron is a junior Finance major in the Smeal College of Business from Washington, D.C. He currently serves as the Director of Risk in the Nittany Lion Fund after previously serving as the Associate Analyst of Healthcare. During this past summer, Ron interned with the Nittany Lion Fund in Healthcare and will be interning at Financial Technology Partners in the Investment Banking Division this summer. In his free time, Ron enjoys reading, working out, and watching basketball. He says that the Nittany Lion Fund has taught him strong analytical skills and how to work well in teams.

Elizabeth Tamargo

Director of Economic Analysis

Elizabeth (Liz) Tamargo is a junior Finance major in the Smeal College of Business from Kennett Square, PA. She currently serves as the Director of Economic Analysis in the Nittany Lion Fund after previously serving as an Associate Analyst of Consumer Discretionary and the Associate Analyst of Materials. During this past summer, Liz interned at RKL LLP in the Wealth Management Division and will be interning at Bank of America in the Investment Banking Division this summer. In her free time, Liz enjoys traveling, watching football, and spending time with friends and family. She says that the Nittany Lion Fund has taught her real accountability while working in a fast-paced environment.

Ryan Magrann

Director of Equity Research

Ryan Magrann is a junior Finance major in the Smeal College of Business from Bucks County, PA. He currently serves as the Director of Equity Research in the Nittany Lion Fund after previously serving as a Lead Analyst of Information Technology and the Director of Alumni Relations. During this past summer, Ryan interned with the Nittany Lion Fund in Information Technology and will be interning at Cowen and Company in the Investment Banking Division this summer. In his free time, Ryan enjoys lifting weights, watching Entourage, and spending time with friends and family. He says that the Nittany Lion Fund has taught him to think more analytically and persistently challenge himself.

Eli Bokunewicz

Co-Director of NLF Education

Eli Bokunewicz is a junior Finance major in the Smeal College of Business from Spruce Creek, PA. He currently serves as the Director of NLF Education after previously serving as the Lead of Materials and Energy. During this past summer, Eli interned at Blue Bell Private Wealth Management and will be interning at Piper Jaffray in the Investment Banking Division this summer. In his free time, Eli enjoys hunting, basketball, and going to trivia with friends. He says that the Nittany Lion Fund has helped him develop strong time management and organizational skills.

Tommy Lu

Co-Director of NLF Education

Tommy Lu is a Junior Finance Major in the Smeal College of Business from State College, PA. He currently serves as the Co-Director of NLF Education after previously serving as the Lead Analyst of Industrials. During this past summer, Tommy interned with the Nittany Lion Fund as the Summer Fund Administrator and the Lead Analyst of Industrials and will be interning at Bank of America in the investment Banking Division this summer. In his free time, Tommy enjoys playing poker, traveling, and urban exploration. He says that the Nittany Lion Fund has taught him time management skills and how to work well under pressure.

Taksh Tripathi

Co-Director of PSIA

Taksh Tripathi is a sophomore Finance and Economics major in the Smeal College of Business and the College of Liberal Arts from Allentown, PA. He currently serves as the Lead Analyst of Communication Services and as a Co-Director of PSIA in the Nittany Lion Fund, after previously serving as the Lead Analyst of Utilities. During this past summer, Taksh interned with the Nittany Lion Fund in Communication Services and will be interning at Liberty Mutual in the Investments Division this summer. In his free time, Taksh enjoys playing cricket, listening to music, and traveling with his family. He says that the Nittany Lion Fund has taught him how to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and how to pay special attention to detail.

Ryan Boyce

Co-Director of PSIA

Ryan Boyce is a junior Finance major in the Smeal College of Business from Warrington, PA. He currently serves as co-director of the Penn State Investment Association in the Nittany Lion Fund after previously serving as the Lead Analyst of Communication Services. During this past summer, Ryan interned at Blue Bell Private Wealth Management and will be interning at Goldman Sachs in the Investment Banking Division this summer. In his free time, Ryan enjoys fishing, playing sports, and fantasy football. He says that the Nittany Lion Fund has taught him the time management and communication skills critical to attain success.

Leonardo (Leo) Girlando

Director of Compliance

Leonardo (Leo) Girlando is a sophomore Finance and Chinese major in the Smeal College of Business and the College of Liberal Arts from Venezuela. He serves as the Associate Analyst of the Materials Sector in the Nittany Lion Fund. After spending two semesters in the Penn State Investment Association, he has developed an interest in sales and trading. In his free time, Leo enjoys playing soccer, traveling, and playing the guitar. He says that the Nittany Lion Fund has helped him understand real accountability and develop critical thinking skills.

Brandon Shah

Director of Weekly Reports

Brandon Shah is a sophomore Finance major in the Smeal College of Business from Allentown, PA. He currently serves as the Associate Analyst of Industrials and the Director of Weekly Reports in the Nittany Lion Fund after previously serving as an Associate Analyst of Consumer Staples. During this past summer, Brandon interned at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Equity Research Division, and after spending two semesters in the Nittany Lion Fund, he has developed an interest in Investment Banking. In his free time, Brandon enjoys playing soccer, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. He says that the Nittany Lion Fund has taught him strong time management skills and to persistently challenge himself.

James Qu

Director of Monthly Reports

James Qu is a sophomore Finance and Computational Data Science major in the Smeal College of Business and the College of Engineering from Pittsburgh, PA. He currently serves as the Director of Monthly Reports in the Nittany Lion Fund after previously serving as a Co-Director of Risk and an Associate Analyst of Communication Services. During this past summer, James interned with the Nittany Lion Fund in Communication Services and Materials and will be interning at Chatham Financial this summer. In his free time, James enjoys ice skating, rock climbing, and trying new foods. He says that the Nittany Lion Fund has helped him improve his attention to detail and composure under pressure.
