My best advice to prospective students is to get involved! During my freshmen year, I had no idea where to start or what to join. Penn State provides a wide range of opportunities for students to get involved in. There are over 1,000 different clubs and organizations to build friendships and expand your network. Here are some tips on how to get involved:
- If you are looking to get involved on campus, look no further than the involvement fair. This event typically takes place the first week of class and gives students the opportunity to explore different clubs.
- If you don’t know where to start, start with your intended major! This will allow to get a different perspective on your major outside of the classroom while making friends with the same interests as you.
- If you are unsure about joining a club, attend the first meeting to see if you like it. Go to a couple of meetings to figure out which one you like best. There is no rush to get involved so take your time to find the one you are interested in the most.
Make Penn State the place you want it to be and add your unique personality to our campus culture! Check out all of Penn State’s clubs and organizations here.
