Penn State celebrated Homecoming 2016 last week with numerous special events, the largest student-run parade in the country, and a big win over Maryland. Each year, Homecoming continues to bring students, alumni, community members, and future students back to Happy Valley. Why? Because WE ARE in love with being a PSU family! We asked a couple Nittany Lions why they loved Penn State and our Homecoming traditions:
“I love Penn State because there are so many opportunities to get involved. There are so many students here who are passionate about the same things as me. The parade really showcases every aspect of this campus.” -Student
“Homecoming resembles and encompasses what we are as a school and a community!” -Student
“Penn State Homecoming is a celebration that lasts all year!” -Student
“We love seeing the local community participate in the parade.” -Penn State Professor
“Penn State is where I met all my lifelong best friends. Even though we all live so far from each other, we all try to make it to Homecoming to reunite!!” -Alumni
“I miss being in the parade and love seeing all the new things that are featured.” -Alumni
“We work year round to make Homecoming a special time for everyone in the Penn State community. It is a tradition we are never going to let go of.” -Student
“Penn State is the only school for me. Simple as that.” -Student
“I’m here because me whole family went here and can’t wait to continue that legacy.” -Future Penn Stater
“They give out lots of candy!!” -Very,very young Future Penn Stater
“It’s really impressive what we can do as a student body.” -Student
“Our football games are insane. Being a part of the S Zone is my favorite part of college.” -Student
“We are the best in everything: academics, sports, social life. I couldn’t imagine going somewhere else.” -Student
