Mont Alto

2019 LionPulse Grant Funding

Thanks to funding from LionPulse, the Mont Alto campus is able to provide “Wellness Wednesdays” to students, staff and faculty members, where on a select Wednesday of each month, the campus will hold a program, activity or host a speaker. The focus will range form Yoga/Meditation, Stress and Anxiety Management, Meal Planning and Nutrition, Weight Loss, and Smoking Cessation. Competitions, giveaways and healthy food for all!

Each semester will cover a new theme including Exercise is Medicine, Nutrition is Medicine, Friendship is Medicine, and Sleep is Medicine. Visit the campus event calendar to find dates and times of these Wellness Wednesdays!

This health fair is held monthly in Health Services in combination with Counseling Services and offers anxiety reduction techniques, essential oils and various preventative screening/testing services to include: Blood Pressure, Vision Screening, etc. We also offer a stress-free zone with relaxation music and a neck and chair massaging area. Additionally, there will be free HIV and STI testing in partnership with a local community outreach organization.
