My favorite pre-workout drink to feel energized is Celsius, so I decided to explore its contents and their effects on my body. I personally enjoy the multiple different flavors of the energy drink that I have tried, and I appreciate that it is a healthier alternative to other drinks because it has no added sugar and it is Non-GMO. I have found that Celsius gives me a boost of energy that allows me to feel and perform better during my workouts.

According to Celsius, a drink of 12 fluid ounces contains green tea extract, guarana seed extract, ginger root, vitamin B, vitamin C, and chromium. The green tea extract contains a ratio of epigallocatechin gallate, a compound that has been proven to boost metabolism. The guarana seeds include over twice the amount of caffeine as a coffee bean. Additionally, the ginger root ingredient aids in thermogenesis and has positive effects on digestive systems.
This blend of ingredients has been proven to increase metabolism and turn on thermogenesis. In turn, a person’s body will burn more body fat and calories. Additionally the caffeinated components of the natural ingredients help increase energy, endurance, and provide greater resistance to fatigue.
Celsius has backed the effects of their drinks by science through conducting multiple studies regarding the body’s metabolic response to a combination of Celsius and exercise. The studies are published in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition.
According to the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, “Pre-workout consumption of Celsius enhances the benefits of chronic exercise on body composition and cardiorespiratory fitness.”
