My Future in Photography

This past year I began to get more serious about photography to the point that I started a business offering my services for various photo needs. I even created my own watermark for my photos. I believe that this is something that I am going to stick with because I have invested a lot of time and money into my photography which is a life long skill that I can carry with me much like golf as my mom loves to tell me. In the future, though I can see myself continuing to do this on the side and maybe even for THON if they will have me back. I could do this as like a part-time gig on top of my other few jobs. But I want to really try to make something of myself and have people want to have me take their pictures for like senior photos, photo sessions, or even entrust me in capturing the magic of love on their wedding day. I am not exactly sure where this will truly take me seeing as most people who have a nice camera have tried to label themselves as a photographer. And who knows videos might become the new photos if the way the world’s trending now continues at the rate that it is at.

For myself, all I know is that whatever the future may hold as long as I have my camera I am ready for whatever is to come my way that is in the sense of photography. Whether it becomes just a hobby as I get older because I begin to pursue a degree I am completely fine with that. Because as long as I get to adventure my camera will be strapped around my neck and ready to capture the amazing views that will hopefully surround me such as the churches in Madrid, Spain when I finally get to travel there. Or the views along the way and when I get to the top of the next mountain I climb. Or even at family gatherings so that the people I love can have candids and family photos of everyone for years to come. I want my photos to be cherished by not only me but, others such as friends and family. I am just thankful to be able to have the opportunities that I have had and hope that there are many more for me in the future.
