Module 1
Fanfare:
The Fanfares module was really interesting to me. I have watched so many movies in my life and not even realized the sound at the beginning of the movie is a fanfare. I learned the most popular fanfare is the 20th Century Fox fanfare. Fanfares are typically twenty-five seconds in length. Paramount pictures is another commonly known fanfare as well as the Dreamworks fanfare. Dreamworks fanfares are typically in Disney movies. The first movie that comes to mind for Dreamworks is Shrek.

Overture:
An overture on the other hand accomplishes the same thing it is just slightly longer. They typically set the stage for impacting action. This is commonly known in opera, stage musicals, and musical work. A very popular approach of an overture comes from the Sound of Music. As I was going through this module it made me think of the musicals I have seen and the first one that came to mind was the Little Mermaid. I remember at the beginning of the musical the overture of all the songs combines together to familiarize the audience right before the curtain lifted. The Little Mermaid Overture is on my Home page of my notebook. Another one of my favorite musicals is Annie. I have an example of that overture on my home page of my notebook as well.
