“Father of string quartet” is Joseph Hayden he is an Austrian composter

The violin is a really interesting instrument to me.  I would love to learn how to play.  A quick side note on the violin I would like to share is during the fall semester at Penn State New Kensington our country of focus was Syria.  They had a Syrian refugee come in Mariela Shaker and perform in our theater playing the violin.  Her music was beautiful.

I loved in module 2 the string quartet of Ed Sheeran’s song Shape of of You.  I found another example of my favorite song by Ed Sheeran which is Perfect.

Here is another popular song we all know by John Legend All of Me

I typically think of string quartets being played at weddings.

An octet has eight performers.  They are made up of two oboes, two clarinets, two horns, and two bassoons.  These were very common during Mozart’s time.  I really enjoyed listening to Mnozil Brass Bohemian Rhapsody.  However in the approach they did they were a septet this is known as a less common approach.

Woodwind Quinet

-flute

-oboe

-clarinet

-horn

-bassoon

Percussion:

The percussion family includes more instruments than counterparts and ensemble has less standardization.  Any instrument that is struck, shaken, or  scraped belong in this category.

Piano trio:

-High string violin

-low string cello

-piano
