There will be a Brownbag tomorrow, Oct 25th, from noon-1pm at Keller 313. The topic is very appealing to many graduate students, who would be keen to know more about tips when applying for a dissertation fellowship!
Dr. Rebecca Tarlau, an assistant professor in Lifelong Learning and Adult Education, will give precious tips based on her rich experiences in getting dissertation fellowships.
I will edit & update this post after going to the Brownbag myself tomorrow!
Review on the Brownbag
The brownbag session was extremely helpful for people both doing their coursework, and also people writing up their dissertations!
First of all, Becky shared a list of fellowship opportunities in a word document. There are three types: pre-dissertation fellowships, fieldwork fellowships, and writing fellowships after the fieldwork. Please refer to the file below for the details.

There is an article that Becky mentioned, written by Michael Watts about tips for writing a successful fellowship application. Watts_Research Proposals
Moreover, below is the recording file for the brownbag today! Feel free to catch up on how the Brownbag went!
