Today I will be letting you all know about a great friend that I made during my freshman year at Penn State, Anthony Bertolami, but we call him Ant. Ant is my good friend, Pat’s, roommate. Since my roommate and I are extremely good friends with Pat and we live in such close proximity to each other, we were lucky enough to meet Ant. Ant and Pat grew up together and went to high school together so they decided to room together at PSU. Ant is not in the honors college like Pat, but he was still very willing to live on south campus with all of us and I think he is enjoying it.
A cool thing that I have noticed about Ant is that his humor is so underrated. Ant is really funny, and if you listen closely you will hear some great jokes. Ant loves the television show “That 70’s Show”, and we can always find him laughing in his bed to the latest episode he is watching. Ant also is a huge fan of the comedian John Mulaney. Pat is a fan as well, so a lot of the times that Erica and I hang out with them, we end up watching one of John Mulaney’s comedy shows on canvas. Ant has also played baseball his entire life and is on the club baseball team here at Penn State!

We also all love Ant’s girlfriend, Vayda Monroe. Vayda and Ant have been dating since freshman year of high school (maybe sophomore), and we have gotten to meet her a few times. She goes to West Chester University, closer to wear Ant lives in PA. I think this is an important thing to mention because they have an extremely healthy relationship and I have really enjoyed getting to know both of them. Another cool thing about Ant is that he is a twin! His twin brother, Matt, just transferred to Penn State and we are all excited to get to know him better.

Ant and Pat live close to each other at home, and Erica lives about 30 minutes from them. Sadly, I live about three hours from them, so I was disappointed that I could not see any of them over winter break. They are some of my closest friends here at Penn State and I am so glad that I met them! All of us say that it is such a coincidence that we all got to live near each other in Atherton hall because we knew we wanted to be friends even before college started. The people here at Penn State are awesome. I have made some great friends here, and Ant is just one of them!
