FYE 4- We’re halfway there

This week was once again busy with hours and hours of homework. However, I had a great kickoff to the week with Arts Fest. My friends from home came to visit me, which was much needed and such a special treat. They had never been to Penn State before and were enamored by the huge campus and enthusiastic students. While my friends were here, we ordered the infamous Pokey Stix from Gumby’s. I am a huge pizza fan, but Pokey Stix bring it to the next level. They were so delicious and I am already looking forward to the next time I order them.

Unfortunately on Sunday, I had to say goodbye to my friends and go back to the harsh reality of school work. The one upside of them going back to Philly was that my room would finally cool down. With only one fan for four girls, it was rough, to say the least.

For lunch this week, I decided to go to the HUB to try the Grate Chee, the Grilled Cheese restaurant, because I was hearing continuous amazing reviews about it. I ordered the Mac and Cheese grilled cheese, which came with tomatoes and bacon. It was the best grilled cheese I had ever had! Not only was the sandwich huge, but the taste was even better. It was definitely worth the long wait in line and recommend that everyone should try it!

Another step bringing us one step closer to fall semester was the unveiling of room assignments that were posted on Monday. At the end of class, everyone was anxiously checking their phones in hopes of being put in the dorm of their choice. I was lucky enough to be put in East Hall Renovated dorms, which will make up for all of the air conditioned-less nights I had to spend in the intolerable heat. My fall roommate and I had the opportunity to get a sneak peak of the inside of the dorms and I was amazed at how updated and luxurious they are. It made me feel like I was in a five-star hotel! It is a huge upgrade from the room and amenities I have now. And to make it even better, my backyard is Beaver Stadium. These thrilling updates are making me even more excited for the rest of the students to come and for it to be fall semester!
