About Lunch Circles

Lunch Circles is an Initiative by Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Committee of the Department of Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management at the Penn State University.

Conversations are the best way to break down invisible walls created by race, ethnicity, social status, political beliefs, etc. This initiative uses a frisbee to encourage people in the community to invite someone not in their immediate social circles to lunch together.

If you received a frisbee marked by Lunch Circles, within a week, please invite a person you do not usually communicate with (no more than a casual chat of a few minutes) to lunch! After lunch, please pass this frisbee to them! In addition, please email the NAMES and a PICTURE of the two of you to Dr. Pan bingpan@psu.edu or text to 843-608-9188. Please check www.lunchcircles.org to see our evolving lunch circles! If you received this in the last week of the semester, please return this frisbee to Dr. Pan at 704M Ford Building.

If you are an undergraduate student and would like to invite a professor to lunch, please email bingpan@psu.edu for instruction on getting a credit card to pay for lunch! Both of you will get free lunches!
