I’ve hit quite a snag with my site. I was able to change the text and clean up the the PT logo well enough, but more technical functions of the site continue to be a problem.

One of the biggest problems I have is getting CSS to work into my site. Mainly in getting the hover of buttons and the random scroll down on my pages to change color. I can’t find any way to change it within the block options, and so far the custom CSS options that bluehost offers prove abysmal. When I try to look into the code, all of the editing tools find their way into the coding, and make it difficult to try and get a bead on where I could make changes.

The layout for the site dashboard is different than what is offered by Penn State’s hosting service, but besides that their CSS functions are frustratingly nondescript. By Wednesday I’ll have the site up for presentation. Until then, I’ll have to do some deep dives into how to better utilize CSS on bluehost, maybe find a plugin that lets me edit the code directly and make modification easier, and find some tutorials on using it if finding a plugin doesn’t work out.
