Mathematical Science Degree Requirements
Mathematical Sciences Option
This option provides a firm background in mathematical sciences, in support of various career goals.
- For students entering the university in Fall 2023 or later
- For students who entered the university in Fall 2021 or later and prior to Fall 2023
- For students who entered the university prior to Fall 2021
Secondary Education Option
A graduate with this option is prepared to teach mathematical studies in secondary school or to pursue a graduate degree in Mathematics Education. This option provides the courses required for certification with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Data Science Option
This option prepares students for a career in data science with additional courses focused on machine learning and statistics.
