2020-2021 Meetings

3/8/2021: We celebrated Pi Day with a series of pi themed activities.

2/22/2021: As a club, we explored the ethical debates surrounding mathematics.

2/8/2021: We worked on several problems from a variety of past Putnam and AMC exams.

1/25/2021: Dr. Hile joined us to discuss options and resources within the math major.

10/26/2020: We competed against one another in an integral bee.

10/12/2020: We discussed scheduling with upperclassmen providing advice to underclassmen.

9/28/2020: Math Club President Ian Kwon gave a presentation about Grigori Perelman and the Poincare Conjecture.

9/14/2020: Dr. Nate Brown spoke to us about the “myth of math people” and the ways that stereotypes surrounding math impact us all.

8/31/2020: We started the year with a casual meeting with a few icebreakers and brain teasers to get to know one another.
