We’ve almost made it to the end of the fall semester, which means that my road trip passion blog must come to an end. Throughout this blog, I have covered a total of seven locations across the western half of the United States that I wish to travel to on my future road trip. Don’t worry though! I will DEFINITELY be stopping at more places than that, but this blog was an amazing way for me to start planning my dream! As for this post, I have created a map of the locations we’ve talked about which I thought would be cool to share. I also would like to share a few safety tips and suggestions for road trippers!
So here is my map. As you can tell by looking at it, most of the locations are quite far from each other. As many road trippers I’ve met have noted, however, is that you add tons of stops along your way to the next big destination, so no worries!
SmarterTravel provides a list of 10 (and a Half) Tips for Road Trips, although if you are looking for more go ahead and google it! There are TONS of websites, guides, and blogs that provide lots of helpful hints for travelers. There are even ones that pertain to COVID-19! Anyways, here areĀ SmarterTravel‘s tips: (if you want their more detailed list, go ahead and click on the link above!)
- Clean your car before and during the trip.
- Check your vehicle to make sure everything is safe for long travels.
- Have a loose plan (like my map!).
- Get off the highways and find some backroads.
- Have an escape plan to get off the backroads, too.
- Anticipate rough spots, like during rush hour.
- Plan ahead for entertainment and pre-load everything onto your phone.
- Tend to division of labor; switch drivers.
- Join a roadside rescue service.
- Have your documents ready and a clean record.
- Know when enough is enough for one day of travel.
Overall, I found this blog to be very helpful to me and I hope it provided some entertainment, and even a little bit of guidance for you too! In creating this blog, I feel as if my road trip dreams are within a closer reach to becoming a reality! Thanks for reading!

I really enjoyed reading your blog and you seem to be all ready to go on your road trip! I want to do a roadtrip too, but I will probably split my road trip into east and west coast (so do 2 road trips). I know it’s a lot but there is a lot to see!
