Project Abstract

Sentiment analysis is the process of extracting certain emotion from a piece of text or document. In the following paper, we will be discussing the Naïve Bayes model for sentiment analysis and ways to optimize its performance in terms of accuracy. The paper utilizes a hybrid model that combines other machine learning models to target different phases of training such as establishing a bag of words, calculating prior and posterior probabilities, and comparing the performance of the proposed model to the base Naïve Bayes model.
