Project Abstract
Industrial engineering and supply chain management (SCM) educational departments often struggle to convey the intricacies of topics such as managing inventory levels, optimizing the production process, and maintaining effective communication across the supply chain. Traditional methods often struggle to teach these in a practical and engaging manner. In recent years, simulation learning modules and games have emerged as effective tools, simulating a near hands on experience while also being easily accessible and in a controlled environment. “Bottled Water Works” is an advanced simulation game developed using the Unity 3D engine that aims to fill these educational gaps. The game simulates the production of bottled water and the beginnings of the supply chain, while containing machine management, realistic scenarios, and dynamic and real time decision-making. The game aims to enhance strategic thinking, problem solving skills, and adaptability, thereby preparing players for real-world industrial engineering and SCM operations.
