Project Abstract

This research proposes piezoelectric power generation device designed for installation in urban environments, utilizing vertical spaces such as bridges and roads for harvesting. This device contains four main components: the piezoelectric module, the regulation module, the communication module, and the energy storage module. The piezoelectric module converts vibrations into electricity, while the regulation module adjusts the voltage and circuit for next module. The communication module monitors the system and communicates with the main host computer, and the energy storage module stores the generated electricity. This modular design allows for flexible installation, easy maintenance, and cost-effectiveness. The device offers a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional harvesting, same with the growing demand for clean energy solutions. Nevertheless, the challenges faced in popularizing this technology in the future are the efficiency of piezoelectric materials and the cost of the device need to be addressed for wider commercial adoption.
