Video for Helen’s Retirement
Helen Edson has announced she will be retiring at the end of December. A reception for her is taking place on the morning of December 9 for faculty/staff and a celebration in the evening from 5-7pm for the students. One of CoE’s student interns is putting together a video of short video clips (no more than 20 seconds) and photos from current students and alumni to showcase what Helen has meant to them and to highlight everyone’s collective appreciation for all that she has done to make such a remarkable impact on our lives.
We are soliciting for videos clips (shot horizontally) and photos for Helen. She has made such a huge impact on so many people and we want to show her what she has meant to us.
Please use/distribute the link below to upload your videos/photos. All videos and photos should be uploaded by Monday December 2 by 5:00 pm, so that there is sufficient time to put everything together!

Our next graduate STEM Scholars Lunch is Wednesday, December 4th from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm in the Assembly Room at the Nittany Lion Inn. RSVP here.

12/13 5PM December General Body Meeting
I.e. Winter Throwdown Location Reber Bldg (To be confirmed)
MEGA will be hosting its Winter general body meeting December 13th at 5PM. RSVP and sign up for white elephant here!
In case of inclement weather, there will be a snowball throwdown fight. Food ideas encouraged, please contact cag46@psu.edu if you have suggestions.
The plan is for there to be a White Elephant activity whose rules are shown below:
In a White Elephant gift exchange, each participant brings a wrapped, unmarked gift and places it in a designated area. Guests are given numbers as they arrive, or their names are randomly drawn, and they select gifts in that order — with a twist.
On the first turn, the person assigned with #1 picks out a gift. On the second turn, the person assigned with #2 gets the choice of “stealing” #1’s gift or choosing a wrapped one from the pile.
As subsequent players take their turns, they either select a new gift or take any already gift from any of the other players. Have any player who has a gift taken away either choose a new gift or take another gift from another player.
There are a total of 3 rounds
