Hey LDT 505!

My name is Megan Riggers, I am a 10th Grade English teacher at a cyber charter school in Ohio.  I grew up in PA and went to school at Bloomsburg University for my undergrad, we moved to Ohio in 2014!

My husband and I met in 2003, and got married in 2014.  We have two crazy goldendoodles (Penny & Farley) and just welcomed our first child this past May!

Eleanor Rose is now three and a half months old (how?!!!!!)

This will be my second year as a classroom teacher, in the past, I also taught a year title reading, a year of homeschooling for a family with four children, and I substitute taught for three years.

In my undergrad at Bloom, I also pursued a minor in Educational Technology, I knew one day I’d go back for my masters in it – this is one of my favorite parts of teaching!  I’m so excited to be working for an online school that allows me to try all sorts of cool and new things with my students!

I’m really excited for this class – I think it’s going to be the best one yet!  This will be my sixth class in the program.  Looking forward to meeting you all and learning with you!
