Why do we need to purchase the Entrance-to-Major kit?

The Entrance-to-Major kit is used in lab activities in ME 348: Circuit Analysis, Instrumentation and Statistics and ME 454: Mechatronics. It is required for these courses rather than requiring a textbook. Components of the kit are also required for some sections of ME 340: Mechanical Engineering Design Methodology. Students also frequently use the kits for Honors options, final project assignments in other courses, and in senior capstone, but it is not required in other courses.
