I’m Melissa Gervais an Assistant Professor in Meteorology and Atmospheric Science a Co-Hire with the Institute for Computational and Data Sciences. My broad research interests lie in climate dynamics with a focus on the Arctic. In particular, I am interested in the coupled interactions between the atmosphere, ocean, and sea ice. The central motivation for my work lies in understanding the impacts of climate change and how it is manifested as changes in daily sensible weather that impact society.
