“Centre County Can’t Wait”, a campaign run by Central PA United spanning over all of Centre County PA, is a campaign that pushes for more progressive politics in Centre County and the towns that surround it. The campaign includes several different candidates from towns all included in Centre County including candidates, Richard Biever, Gopal Balachandran, and Divine Lipscomb who are all running as a slate for seats on the State College Borough Council in the upcoming municipal election. Biever, Balachandran, and Lipscomb are showing the State College voters that just because a candidate is a Democrat, that does not mean that they are progressive and that it is important to pay attention to the fine details such as their platforms, alliances, and supporters.

Overall, through joining the “Centre County Can’t Wait” campaign and forming an alliance, Biever, Balachandran, and Lipscomb have set themselves apart from the other candidates running for State College Borough Council and have shown their dedication for a more progressive State College community.
