Donald Trump And His Team Of MoronsĀ

This article, written by Paul Krugman, discusses various mistakes that Donald Trump and his team have faced while being in the White House. A big recent problem is how Trump and his people are currently dealing with the federal government employees not being paid because of the government being shut down. Kevin Hassett, a chairman of the Council of Economic Affairs, was asked about this issue. He proceeded to shrug it off, stating that the workers are “better off” not having to work, because they are getting time off and don’t have to use up their vacation time. Paul continued to write about Trump’s team, saying that people who are working for him must have bad reputations and nothing else to strive for, because of how bad they are running our country and dealing with problems that arise. He talks about a previous writing of his; he said the direction the White House is going is not good, and since then things have only got worse… but we are not yet at “rock bottom.”

For this article, I would serve as the public relations professional for Donald Trump and his whole team who he works with (specifically listed: Kevin Hassett). If I had to be in this position, I would definitely handle things differently than they have been as of late (or since Donald Trump has been president). One specific instance that I would have advised the team to react in another way, is when Hassett made the remark I wrote above. I would’ve told him to respond in a way that is apologetic and sympathetic of the workers, instead of making excuses and making it seem like everything is okay. In his eyes, it may be, but he’s not putting himself in the workers shoes and empathizing with them on what is happening. I would first prepare him for this question, because it is probably expected to be asked. It’s possible that Hassett wasn’t expecting this question (I’m not sure how) and does not know how to properly answer. I would make sure he is ready and responds in a more positive and understanding way.
