Introduction: Michele Corey

I’ve had a varied career and for the past 5 years have been working in aerospace  in the Pacific NW in the capacity of leadership development coaching and employee involvement. In a loud and crazy factory setting I partner with individuals that include a diverse group from hourly on the floor to executive leadership.

Although I informally incorporate OD, I felt it was time to jump back in and strengthen foundational skills so that I can be more effective.

I am an avid learner. Last year I jumped into some group and team coaching course work and it’s been since 2000 when I graduated with a masters in management that I’ve officially been in school.

I am looking forward to this certificate program and growing my learning network.

I am a mother of a sophomore in high school, a grandmother  through my husbands son to baby June who is now a toddler, and have officially joined the “sandwich” generation by recently moving my elderly mom from the east coast to be closer to us and receive the kind of care she needs.  My husband and I enjoy the outdoors and create space to make this a reality in our busy work and family lives.

Spring:  2019:  lesson 1 overview shared, Lewis Carroll wrote, “If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there.” In order to either create or have more of what we want or need, change is necessary.   Albeit, it is not always an easy journey.  I am looking forward to participating in my third course, learning new concepts and from others, meeting others on the journey and finding satisfaction as I am able to incorporate this into my current work.
