Copyright and Fair Use

Our group is presenting about marijuana legalization. We’re going to have to be very careful about how we incorporate music and images. We haven’t completely decided on what we’re going to put into our project but we must follow a number of things to ensure that we are using other peoples’ works properly.  The most important thing is that we give credit to the creator of each piece of media we incorporate into our project. I recognize that a lot of hard work goes into into what creators of media produce and that when we use their work in our project, those pieces are...

Response to “The Rhetoric of Images”

I believe that a picture can be interpreted many different ways. It depends on who you are and what experiences you’ve had in your past. When I think of the image of the burning World Trade Center on September 11th, I think of the families of those who worked inside the towers, people frantically trying to get away from the terrible scene, chaos breaking out, and sadness across the country. Psychological stress consists of a few factors. First of the factors involves our bodies. Stress has to do with how our bodies react to events and how they respond to them. If you’re the kind of person who is constantly in action without taking a break, it will...

TED Talk Reflection

Overall, I’m not feeling too confident about how my TED talk went. I feel that there were a lot of things I could have done differently to have a better presentation. The way I delivered my speech was not quite the way that I intended to deliver it. It was definitely difficult to deliver a speech without any notes especially since I’ve never done that before. I think that it was also difficult because of the atmosphere. We were presenting in a small room with bright lights and for some reason, I felt little uncomfortable by that. As a result of the difficulties, I missed a few...
