The Reading High School Workshop took place at Penn State Berks on April 18, 2013. Students started with a self reflection in which they assessed themselves to find more about themselves and their passions. The students took their passions and started to generate ideas. They were encouraged to think “outside the box” within groups. Then the teams were given the challenge to think of a pizza business and all the components to make that business successful. Once the different groups had ideas on how to make the pizza business successful; they presented their ideas to the class. The students came up with very creative and innovative ideas while learning the fundamental steps of a business plan. The students responded very positively in their evaluation forms of the material and presentation method of the entrepreneurship content.
