Realizations while on Vacation

This week I decided to do a DIY Spring Break and take a trip to Florida. To say the least, it was a great trip. But, during this trip I realized that at school I am always so stressed and working all the time, that I never just take time to relax. Being able to just sit on the beach and relax this week was so nice and to take time for myself was so great. Now you’re probably like, we get it Molly you were in Florida on the beach, but what I’m trying to get at is that we all need to take a step back sometimes and just relax. We never realize how much we do and stressed we are until we get that break and take some time to relax. It becomes an eye opener.

From this trip, I’ve decided that from now on, once a week I will be doing something for myself to help me relax and take a break from my work. I had previously talked about doing yoga to help me relax, which I will probably still try and incorporate more often than once a week. But, now I’m going to try and just set aside a decent amount of time once a week to just let myself be stress free and not worry about any work that I have to do or anything else going on. I think that this will definitely help with my mental health and also help me to be more productive since I can clear my mind and start with a clear head once going back to doing my work.

I highly encourage you to do this as well. You never know, it could be highly beneficial to you and could have some positive effects on your daily life. Even just putting your computer away and pen down and taking a walk downtown or going for a run or even just sitting outside in the sun for a little bit. Taking that time to destress and push everything to the side that you’ve been worried about will definitely be beneficial and I know for me will help me in many aspects of my life.

And don’t forget to always find the positive in your days, even if they’re the worst days!
